London-based InterLnkd Ltd. has secured £1 million in a seed funding round led by Vanneck Ltd. The round also saw participation from other angel investors.
The company is providing technology enabling travel suppliers to earn revenue by selling fashion, beauty, and other items to travellers using an “intelligent matching engine” which matches products with a traveller’s booking.
The travel tech startup plans to use the funds to launch a series of functionality and design enhancements as well as to support its expansion into other regional markets.
Presently, the platform and engine uses specific data points, defined as MotiVatedData™, designed to curate a personalised selection of products that align with the customer’s travel booking. The engine pulls from over 20,000 brands across fashion, beauty, and essentials. The startup provides white-label technology for travel sellers to earn a cost-free incremental revenue stream from travellers’ holiday needs.
Investors have noted the intelligent engine opens a new source of ancillary revenue for travel sellers.
Barry Klipp, Chief Executive Officer of InterLnkd, says, “This new round of investment marks a pivotal moment for InterLnkd. It not only validates our mission to help the travel industry capitalise on a new and free stream of ancillary revenue, but also empowers us to deliver an even more tailored experience to our partners and their customers. We look forward enhancing our capabilities, expanding our global footprint, and reshaping the world of travel shopping.”
