Cirdan Ltd., a global leader in digital pathology, has raised £2.3M in a round led by Kernel Capital.

While the company is based in Lisburn, the company’s platform is used in over 150 laboratories and hospitals across 20 countries and offers a variety of digital support services for pathology. Cirdan is focused on directing their knowledge and expertise towards the innovation of pathology technology in an effort to improve wellbeing.

The new funding will be used to expand their ability to grow and improve the way they onboard new customers. Stephen Dunniece, Director at Cirdan, states that this funding, in addition to securing new contracts, will be used to accelerate operational expansions and deliver a strong order book in future years.

The Bank of Ireland Kernel Capital Growth Fund was created to support Northern Irish SMEs. Capital for the fund has come from Invest Northern Ireland and the European Regional Development Fund.
